Timberland began in 1918, in a small Boston, Massachusetts shoe company where Timberland founder, Nathan Swartz, began his bootmaking career as an apprentice stitcher. Today, Timberland is an international company represented all over the world, but still making the boots that keep their reputation for quality and integrity.
